On March 13, 2020 High Court of the Republic of Uganda has
reaffirmed the common law principle that a master is liable for
the tortuous actions of his/her servants in committed in the
course of their employment.
In High Court Civil Suit number 328( civil division), Tusubira
Robert Vs Anguma Collins & New Securiko Services Ltd, Justice
Ssekana Robert held the 2nd defendant liable for shooting and
injuring of the plaintiff by the 1st defendant.
Miriam Kagwa from our law firm represented the plaintiff at the
High Court of Uganda.
